Art House Dallas: Imagining the Future

Hello Friends,

It’s crazy to think we’re half-way through May and summer is around the corner. The start of 2020 has been a whirlwind for all of us—forcing us to look at why we do what we do and how our efforts can best serve those around us.

The Art House Dallas mission has always been to work directly with artists of all kinds to spur them on in their creative endeavors believing that their rich expressions can provide a light and way forward for the benefit of the entire community. I was recently struck by this quote from Jeremy Begbie in A Letter for Holy Week.
“But there’s another key role artists can play in these stressed and distressed days: they help us imagine a future. A day will come when we can shake hands again, hug a friend, cheer in a crowd, and yes, worship in church buildings. But life won’t ever be the same again. What kind of society do we want when we get a chance to re-start?”
In a world that seems to shift daily, our mission remains the same and we would love for you to join us as we spur on artists and inspire the imagination of the next generation. Here are a few ways that you can help:  DEPLOY: We work with partner organizations to connect artists to communities that lack resources for the arts. In light of COVID-19, this summer we will be making Art Adventure Kits. We’d love for you and your family to get involved! You can read more about it here on our website.

GIVING: For Giving Tuesday, May 5th, we raised over $4,000! THANK YOU! As a non-profit, we rely on the generosity of the community, no gift is too small and we cannot fulfill our mission without your support. We’ve recently launched a monthly giving campaign and we would love for you to consider becoming a supporter! I hope you will join us as we venture into the sacred calling of re-imagining what our daily lives look like, who our neighbors are, and how we can serve one another.
