We’re adding an extra paint out this year and hope that you can attend.
With acres of beautifully arranged flower gardens, reflecting pools, ponds with water lilies, and historic buildings, the Dallas Arboretum will be a bloomin’ good paint out!
The Arboretum sits on the east side of White Rock Lake at 8617 Garland Road, Dallas, TX. Directions from wherever you are
located are available on GoogleMaps or MapQuest.
Originally a 44 acre dairy farm, the Dallas Arboretum now expands over 66 acres of botanical gardens, wooded area, water features, and more. The property was purchased by the DeGolyer’s who, in 1939, built a 21,000 square foot Latin Colonial Revival style house made to look like it was 100 years old. Adjacent to the DeGolyer House is the 8,500 square foot Alex Camp House, which provides a stunning view of White Rock Lake. At the time of our visit, the ZimSculpt exhibition will be on display. The exhibition features contemporary sculptures by Zimbabwean artists. Visit www.dallasarboretum.org for more information.
Admission prices range from $10-$15 per person per day plus $10 for parking. Hours are from 9am-5pm. A reservation for both admission and parking is required, so don’t wait to book at https://reservations.dallasarboretum.org. As of this writing, face coverings are required.
There is no admission at nearby White Rock Lake park. A suggested painting spot is in the area of the Bath House Cultural Center. The BHCC is located on the eastern side of White Rock Like at the end of Northcliff Drive, off of Buckner Blvd. Access the center from Northcliff, E. Lawther Drive may be blocked off.
