Out with the Old, In with the New
Sunday, January 16, from 2:00 – 4:00pm
The Clay Studio is hosting a fundraising event! In the spirit of renewal and hoping for luck in the year ahead, Guild members and their guests will have the opportunity to make a wish, a New Year’s resolution, or scare off bad mojo for the coming year by joining in some pottery smashing fun in exchange for a small donation.
At a Greek wedding, the couple throws away their old single life and welcomes their new married life by smashing plates. Germans enjoy joyful pottery smashing at Polterabend festivities – they have a saying: “scherben bringen glück” (shards bring luck). In the Clay Dept, we just want to have fun (and bring a little good luck in 2022). For more information email email@example.com.
