Drypoint is a traditional fine art printmaking technique. Basically, you scratch a design with something sharp into a smooth surface. This is the printing plate, and it could be a metal such as copper or zinc, or a piece of acetate, plexi, or even cardboard. You then coat the plate with ink (Akua – non-toxic ink), wipe the plate with newspaper so the ink remains only in the scratched groves, then print the plate.

Printmaker Junanne Peck will lead the session. She will supply the basic materials for an $20. supply fee. (that includes some paper supplies– extra paper may be purchased.) Exact Cash, no credit cards or checks

Sponsored by the Irving Art Association. Location: Jaycee Park Center for Arts, 1975 Puritan Dr., Irving TX 75061. Note: Construction is blocking the east route to Jaycee Park – see Directions for alternate routes throughout 2021.
