Don’t Miss Out on These Great Workshops!

We have two amazing workshops this weekend! Register today for the Cyanotype Printing Workshop and Altered Book Workshop.  REGISTER

Cyanotype Printing Workshop
If blue is one of your favorite colors, then cyanotype printing is for you! In this class, local photographer and educator, Edgar Miller, will teach you the history and techniques of cyanotype (blueprint/sunprint) printing. Using the sun, a variety of objects, and digital negatives to make photograms and contact prints, you will make your very own unique photographs. You will also receive extra sheets of paper to continue your own experimentation at home. Join us for fun in the sun making cyanotype prints!
Altered Book Workshop
Each student will select an existing book to create a mixed media one-of-a-kind artist’s book. The idea is to find an inspirational/fun book to alter its original form/appearance and general subject meaning. Participants will learn about different bookbinding techniques that can be used to alter a book and get to experiment with mixed media practices. The workshop will explore image transfer options, painting, drawing, sewing, and more into the altered books.
