The Dallas Art Dealers Association (DADA) has announced the selection of Cathy Drennan, local gallery owner and artist as its new Executive Director.
“We are very pleased to announce this appointment,” said Kenneth Craighead, DADA member and owner of Craighead Green Gallery. “Cathy will bring leadership and creativity to DADA’s programs and a deep sense of commitment to the Dallas art community.
Drennan’s resume includes over 30 years of executive planning, administration, communications and marketing experience in the nonprofit sector. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting and Graphic Communications from The University of Texas at Arlington.
Before moving to Dallas, she served in various nonprofits in program, fundraising, executive and leadership levels, and has a breadth of perspective and experience.She is a member of the Contemporary Art Dealers of Dallas (CADD), teaches art fundamentals at the Creative Art Center of Dallas and sits on the board of the College of Visual Arts and Design at the University of North Texas.
“I am honored to be a part of this prestigious organization and look forward to partnering with the area’s art organizations in this new capacity,” remarks Drennan. “I am dedicated to the Dallas art community and believe that DADA plays an important role and cultural enrichment to our city.
The Dallas Art Dealers Association (DADA), serving Dallas since 1985, is an affiliation of established, independent gallery owners and not-for-profit art organizations in the Dallas metropolitan area.
