Plano Art Association May 22nd Meeting & Photography Presentation by San Hsu

TUESDAY, MAY 22 at 7:00 p.m.
at Willow Bend Mall

(At the North Texas Performing Arts Center,
second level next to Dillard’s)
There will be a brief business meeting where

                    election of officers for 2018-2019 will be held.


The “Eastern Impressions” Photography exhibit will be in full swing
There will also be a presentation by noted photographer,

San Hsu related to the current PAA “Eastern Impressions” photography exhibit in the gallery room where we will be meeting.

The photos are by members of North Texas Asian Photographers Association.

The program will consist of two parts. The first part will be a presentation about the impact of famous iconic photography in our culture and society. It will be illustrated by Ken Wheatley with images familiar to us all. A presentation and discussion will focus on what makes these images take on a life of their own as they become part of our collective memory of events and places.

San Hsu

T he second part of the presentation will be by San Hsu. He is a renowned photo journalist with security credentials that qualifies him to access to ph otograph top governmental officials, including U.S. Presidents. He will present exciting photos he has taken of major figures in this century. He will also explain the process of working within the setting that confronts him when appro aching assignments.

Mr. Hsu studied architecture at the TonJi University in Shanghai. But, received his graduate degree in Architecture History from LSU. He has been a photo journalist for over 30 years.

7:45 – Vote and Announcement of Results

All members are encouraged to attend this special meeting.
It will be your chance to meet and hear from
the slate of candidates.
Only current members with paid-up dues
will be able to vote for candidates.
