Felted Flowers with Suzanne Morgan    

Wed. June 19 – 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
$35, $8 Supplies

Make a felted flower from wool roving or wool prefelts. Learn to make resists which is an important felting concept! We will be using luxurious silks and wools and felt by hand. All materials and felting tools supplied by the instructor. Please bring sharp scissors and wear clothes that can get a little wet. Bring drinks and snacks to make an evening out of it!Previous experience is not required!

Gold Fumed Beads

Take your lampworked beads to the next level by adding the warm metallic effect of gold. Explore color combinations unique to the technique of gold fuming the surface of your handmade beads. Intermediate and advanced students.

 

Beadmaking 101
 with Melody Lynch
Dates: July 13, August 17 – 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
$90, $25 Supplies
 
Get the hang of putting glass to fire, and create a handful of glass beads. Students will learn to wrap soft glass, pull stringers, and place dots. Thinking about taking a lampworking class? You can learn the basics of the ancient art in this workshop before committing to a full class session.No prerequisite to enjoy this one. Participants cannot be afraid of fire!

Intro to COPPRClay™ with Ruth Rainey

Sunday, June 23 – 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  

 $90, Supplies TBD Here’s your chance to try metal clay! Learn to make jewelry pieces using Metal Adventures’ COPPRclay™. Learn the basic skills for shaping, forming, joining and finishing jewelry pieces. Make your own Scratch-Foam texture plates and learn design considerations, firing schedules and patina options. All levels welcome. Experience with metal clay is not necessary.   

 

 
Hollow Lentil Beads in Precious Metal Clay
with Barbara Reeves
Sun. June 30  – 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

One of the favorite hollow forms is a Lentil Bead.  We will use this form as the foundation for a few design elements. We will add texture, bezel set a cabochon and keum-boo accents to the metal clay pendant. Clay supplies will be available for purchase in class. Due to the fluctuating prices of PMC you may contact the instructor to purchase any clay supplies prior to the class. Intermediate/Advanced PMC Level. Prerequisite: Intro to PMC

 

Open Project Workshops with Marilyn O’Hara
Dates: July 13, July 27, August 17 
10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
$80 (one day)

This workshop is for individuals that are working on their own specific metals project and would like help from the instructor. Marilyn will consult on any project from beginning metalworking skills to complex fabrication.Prerequisite: Students must have taken at least one metals fabrication class to register for this workshop.

 

Polishing & Finishing Techniques with Mike Geldon

Dates: July 14, August 18 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.  $90 (one day), $50 Supplies 
Learn the basics of polishing and finishing your handmade jewelry in a professional manner, by hand and by machine. Experiment with numerous flex-shaft attachments, wheel polishers, and sanding sticks, and touch upon basic oxidation techniques. Bring in your own projects to complete, and work on the samples provided during this day-long course. Recommended prerequisite: Jewelry Fabrication class or experience.
DRAWING & PAINTING Draw

Drawing for Everyone 
with Lois Ames
Sat. July 20 – 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
$45, $10 Supplies
 

Have fun and learn to draw what you see. Learn the basics of shapes, composition, perspective, and how to draw what you see in black and white using charcoal. No previous drawing experience required to enjoy this workshop!
