The Choose Courage Foundation is thrilled to invite artists from the United States to apply for the juried show “Courage ~ A Fine Art Exhibition”.

We are searching for diverse works in all mediums to explore and celebrate the courage of the human spirit and beauty that can emerge from the hard.

The exhibit will be on display for the month of October at the Fort Worth Community Arts Center.  A private reception, event and chef tasting fundraiser for the Choose Courage Foundation will be held Thursday, October 5, 2017 and a FW Community Arts Center artist reception will be held Friday, October 6, 2017.

Open to all media that are suitable for long-term outdoor exposure. Up to 12 large scale works will be chosen for installation at the Sunken Garden Park, City of San Angelo.

The Bath House Cultural Center will present the 31st Annual Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) art exhibition, October 14-November 11, 2017. This show features local, regional, and international artists working in traditional and contemporary styles to celebrate, explore, and honor people, things and ideas that have “passed on.”

The theme for this year’s Día de los Muertos: The Path of Winged Souls exhibition is marigold flowers and monarch butterflies.

The Mission of Cowboy True is to educate the region about the honor, art, and beauty of the cowboy’s daily life.

Cowboy True is a celebration to honor working cowboys and the artwork that comes from their daily lives. During the weekend of  April 13-14, 2018, juried cowboy artists from around the nation will be featured at the J.S. Bridwell Ag Center to display their unique works derived from cowboy life. Categories include: bits, spurs, buckles, jewelry,  saddles, boots, trappings/gear, photography, paintings, drawings, sculptures, woodworking, and cowboy cartoons. Events for Cowboy True include Friday night Preview Party featuing a world champion chuckwagon and live entertainment by Jake Hooker and The Outsiders, Saturday daytime activities and Ranch Rodeo (exhibit open to the public) and Saturday night dinner, live auction, and entertainment. All proceeds go to Arts Council to assist with nonprofit programming and mission fulfillment.
