MAJESTIC SPACE
Winter Rusiloski
Images | Detail, Aurora’s Return
Image | Sail Complex, 2017, Oil on canvas, 48 x 60”
Exhibition Statement | “These dynamic surfaces are epic journeys through majestic spaces. Each voyage is signified by endless horizons intersected by lightening marks, passages of eternity balanced by ephemeral moments of present, near space reaching toward vast distances, palpable surface textures dissolving in and out of ethereal mists. Every canvas is a poesis of mark making that draws from the primordial smudges found on a cave wall to pieces of the moment here, right now, and all that moves in between.“ Full statement available on Artspace111.com
“This study was supported in part by an Allbritton Art Institute Grant for Art Faculty Scholarship, BaylorUniversity.”

VOYAGE
Ronald Watson
Image | Departure, 2014, Painted plywood, 55.75 x 55.25 x 4
Exhibition Statement | “When I touch joining planes in my sculpture I feel the trueness of the angle and the completeness of the intersection. I am drawn to systems of structure and I enjoy building webs, lattices and grids that float in space. They are personal labyrinths and I see them as networks of possibilities. My works allow the viewer to consider them as things in the world and as worlds within themselves.” Full curatorial statement by Jim Woodson available on Artspace111.com.
Update:

It is with our deepest sorrow that we inform you of Ron Watson’s passing,
His solo exhibition, Voyage, will proceed as planned from May 10 – June 16, with an opening reception on Thursday, May 10, from 5 – 8pm. We will post details about the memorial service on our Facebook page when available. We hope that you will join us to celebrate the life of this gifted artist.

Martin Lawrence Galleries Welcomes Renowned Artist Kerry Hallam to its Dallas Gallery

Nation’s Premier Fine Art Network Offers New Original Works at April 14th Show

Martin Lawrence Galleries (MLG) , Dallas is proud to present ‘Kerry Hallam: Master Works and Original Works on Canvas’ at its Dallas gallery, located on level 1 in the Galleria Shopping Center, on April 14th.  The event will showcase brand new work by the renowned Seascape Impressionist, alongside nautical charts and hand-signed limited-edition graphics, at an exclusive reception.

“I have the chance now to savor the never-ending, subtleties of art. When one has time to explore, every brush stroke begins in mystery”. -Kerry Hallam

If the world was a banquet, the paintings of Kerry Hallam would be an invitation to sit at the table and join the feast. For the past half century, Hallam has used his talent as a catalyst that has transported his thousands of collectors to an alluring atmosphere where the simple pleasures of life become simply magnificent, where a lifetime of travels have continually called him to sea.

Kerry Hallam is as refreshing and spirited as the enticing images, bold patterns and captivating compositions he creates.. Born in Northern England, he won a six-year scholarship to London University’s Central College of Art and received formal training under British master painters. Britain’s Royal Society of Artists in Watercolor recognized that talent and included him in their ranks. Hallam was strongly influenced by the fauves and has a noted affinity for the 19th century French Post-Impressionists, Cezanne and Van Gogh.

Enthusiasm is Hallam’s currency, and his art is filled  with timeless, sun-dappled village scenes. Noted for his power to evoke emotion, and his use of opulence of light and distinctive color harmonies, Hallam translates the ordinary into the magical, inviting us to be revitalized by the worlds simple pleasures. His panoramas continue to draw accolades, including a first-place award by the prestigious L’Association Pour le Promotion Artistique Francais. Hallam has been honored throughout his career with innumerable on-man exhibitions around the world and is a mainstay at all nine MLG locations across the country. His work has been featured in newspaper and magazine articles as well as in PBS television specials.

Called “a charming adventurer” by Forbes Magazine, Kerry Hallam has been represented by MLG for over 30 years.  Experienced and first time collectors alike are invited to come and meet the artist in person and become acquainted with the magic of his stunning new collection.
