RCAS Regional Exhibition Reception May 10

Richardson Civic Art Society

49th Annual Regional Juried Art Exhibition & Sale

Charles W. Eisemann Center, 2351 Performance Drive, Richardson, TX 75082.

Funded in part by the City of Richardson

Through the Richardson Arts Commission

We are delighted to announce our Juror, Gladys Roldan-de-Moras.

The product of a long line of artists and artisans, Gladys was born in 1965 in Monterrey, Mexico.  She began to enjoy Art at a very young age and took a circuitous route to become the fine artist we know today.  In 1984 she moved to Austin where she received her degree from the University of Texas.

Her passion for art is reflected in her colorful work.  Each one of her paintings captures the essence of the moment; often there is a hidden message the artist wants to convey.  Strong colors, soft edges, hard edges, light and shadow are all captured by the artist’s hand.  Because of her talent she is rapidly being recognized as an important emerging artist.

Gladys Roldan-de-Moras

She has received numerous awards for her beautiful work, including “Artist Magazine Award for Excellence in Painting”, “Julian Onderdonk Memorial Purchase Award” from the San Antonio Art League and many more awards. She was featured in Southwest Art Magazine June, 2014.  She has had a one person gallery exhibit at the Insight Gallery, Fredericksburg, Texas and Greenberg Fine Art Gallery, Santa Fe, New Mexico.  Her paintings have been acquired by National and International private collectors. To view the depth of her talent visit her website:  www.roldandemoras.com.

Our Juror’s job was difficult because of the high quality and talent entered into this exhibition.  All entrants are Texas residents.  The Juror stated “The quality of the entries was high and it was very difficult to narrow down the selections.  I had to make some tough choices.  I want to congratulate each and every one that participated in this show and to thank the Richardson Civic Art Society committee for inviting me to judge this show. It was a pleasure.”

The 49th Annual Juried Exhibition and Sale will be on display from May 1 – May 26, 2015 at the Charles W. Eisemann Center, 2351 Performance Drive, Richardson, TX 75082., so treat yourself to experiencing the depth of talent of our Texas artists.  If you are interested in purchasing any works of fine art from this exhibit, please contact the Show Chair, Rosalinda Trevino Stone at 469-471-3569 or iberianstone@yahoo.com.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the Richardson Civic Art Society, please visit our website at www.richardson-arts.org.
