Call For Entries: Kamme Art Scholarship Art Show and Festival

Second Annual Kamme Art Scholarship Art Show and Festival! There will be a Juried show inside the studio, a pop-up art fair in the square, food trucks and live music.

All artists will compete for:
Best in Show: $150
Second Place: $100
Third Place: $50
Honorable Mention prizes for photography, sculpture/mixed media, painting (oil, acrylic, watercolor) and drawing/pastels (graphite, colored pencils, pen, etc.

Important dates:

Acceptance of entries: March 7-June 15 (for juried show. Booths might be extended)

Notification of acceptance, both jury show and booths:  June 25

Delivery of artwork to Kamme Art Gallery 304 Bolivar, Sanger TX 76266:

 July 9, 12-4 pm; July 10, 1-7pm

This year’s judge is . Anne began her art studies when she was six, attending the adult classes of Gustav Likan at the Art School at Laguna Gloria in Austin, Texas. Mr. Likan’s daring work as a colorist influenced her greatly, and he mentored her until his death in 1998. Anne’s work also reflects the influence of traditional Japanese art and aesthetics which she encountered during an extended stay in Japan. Anne earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from Austin College and three Master’s Degrees from Yale University: Religion and the Visual Arts, East Asian Studies, and the History of Art. She has taught studio art for 30 years, mentoring and preparing students for higher education and career opportunities in the visual arts. She also teaches art history at the Heard-Craig Center for the Arts and at SAIL (Collin College). Anne leads the Arts and Music Guild, and exhibits her work at The Cove, McKinney. You can visit her website at: www.anneroyer.com

Infinite Kamme Art Scholarship Art Show and Gabby Devore Benefit call for artists

We are still accepting submissions for artists to be a part of the juried exhibition in the gallery and/or have a booth in the Art Fair in the Square to benefit both the endowment of the Kamme Art Scholarship administered by the Sanger Education Foundation and Gabby Devore, the first recipient of the scholarship this year who was in a car accident and suffered a traumatic brain injury.

Call for entries for “Reading to My Friends” Sculpture Exhibit

Reception and Award Presentation
Saturday, August 13 at 7 pm
In celebration of The Creative Arts Center of Dallas’ (CAC) 50th Anniversary, Friends of the Dallas Public Library (FODPL) offer an exclusive juried show only to CAC members.
There is no entry fee.  Images are not requested.  CAC membership is required.  The artist is limited to one entry.  Collaborative works by two or more artists working together may be submitted as one entry with the lead artist being a member of the CAC.
The submitted work must be sculptural (three dimensional) and express a literary theme.
Sculptures many be of any media within the dimensions of 18 inches wide, 18 inches high and 18 inches deep.  The weight limit is a maximun of 10 pounds.

Entires for the exhibition will be received on Sunday, July 31, 2016 from 2-4 pm

at the fourth floor of the Dallas Central Library.  The sculptures will be returned for pick-up on Sunday, August 28, 2016 from 2-4 pm at the fourth floor of the Dallas Central Library.


The FODPL’s Gala Commitee, co-chaired by David DeSalvo and John Marcucci, directors of Haley-Henman Gallery, juries the exhibition.

Best Innovation $100
Four Honorable Mention at $50 each
The top 24 will be awarded $50 each and entered into a silent auction at the annual FODPL fall benefit.  Each artist will receive 50% of the auctioned price.
The annual fall dinner supports the educational programs of the Dallas Public Library. The “Everybody Needs Friends Gala” celebrates the 65th Anniversary of the Friends of the Dallas Public Library.  It is wonderful to have a friend like the Creative Arts Center of Dallas as they celebrate their 50th Anniversary.

Call to Artists – 45th annual River Road Show


The 45th Annual River Road Show , a national juried exhibition sponsored by the Louisiana Art and Artists’ Guild, is posting a call for artists’ entries. Open to all US aritst 18+ (except photography or digitally enhanced), work must be original and created within the last 2 years. Juror: Master Artist, Morten E. Solberg. $40 for first 3 entries ($5 for each after 3, maximum 10 entries). $4,000+ in awards. “Lights” Art Show – Frisco Art Gallery; Deadline: June 15

“Keep Looking Up” Juried Photography Show

Photographs have power to shift one’s perspective, often literally. “Keep Looking Up” is the theme for the Frisco Art Gallery’s exclusively photography show, May 5-31.  When one looks up, what does one see? What or who moves upward? The interpretation of this theme is not limited to skyscapes or skyscrapers.
