Instructor: Ameda Holmes
Ameda Holmes has been knitting and working with yarn since she was 5 years old. Her grandmother was a true master and taught her how to design as well as create. In 1985 she decided that natural fibers were the way to go and she learned to spin her own yarn. For the three Thursday evenings in May she will be teaching spinning and knitting. The first night will be devoted to spinning. Attendees will be introduced to the basics of spinning and will receive a spindle and fiber to work with. The next two nights will be devoted to the basics of knitting. Everyone will be making simple slippers. Needles and yarn will be provided.
