A Message from our New Program and Exhibition Manager

Jonathan Mark Levy

Hello Texas Artist Coalition,
I am very excited for this upcoming year as we have many great exhibitions planned as well as some new ones in the works. For anyone who has upcoming show or exhibitions please share that info with me so that I can add it to the T.A.C. website.

Furthermore, a really great opportunity has come up with our partners 7th Street Development. As some of you know, they host an annual street Fair called Crockett Creates (formerly pARTy on Crockett) which falls on April 15th. This year, not only do they have approx. 25 outdoor spots available for Dallas-Fort Worth artists, they are also opening a store front on that block for additional indoor exhibitors. This is a 1 day event where they are expecting over 3000 people to attend. The best part is, it is only $5 to submit and $25 to participate. The deadline for submissions is 3/15/2017 but they are accepting early entries for promotional purposes so do not hesitate because spaces are limited. If interested or you know people who are, please submit here:  www.submittable.com

In addition to that, the Suicide Awareness Coalition (SAC) invites artists to submit conceptual proposals for an interactive artwork that will support the SAC mission: raising awareness about suicide in our community. The goal for this project is to create a creative platform for community engagement focusing on themes about suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention. The finished artwork will serve as a memorial to the thousands of individuals in our community who have died by suicide. The deadline for this is 3/17/2017. For more info on that please click here: SAC
