Closing Reception for Lara Lenhoff May 31- Life Walk Fundraiser

dyslexic stoplight

In South Africa, 18.5% of the adult population has HIV or AIDS. In 2016, an art group I was part of raised a substantial amount for Life Walk to help the community in Dallas afflicted with this virus.

On May 31 at 6 PM-9PM, the closing reception for this Solo Show will be taking place at Artspace at Metropolitan Press. Live music by Lizbet Kloot Palmer of the Last City starts at 7. If you claim to be a supporter of the arts in this city, don’t miss the 25 paintings created. 20% of proceeds are going to Life Walk.

Premier solo exhibtion of photographs
MARIUS SILAGHI
MAY 4-28, 2016
Closing party and talk:  Saturday, May 28 from 7-9 pm
Talk by Marius Silaghi at 8 pm

Haley-Henman Gallery

Marius Silaghi is an artist living and working in Dallas, Texas.  He emigrated from Romania and some of the images are from his time in Eastern Europe.  However place is not an important feature of these photographs.  They are strong universal images of simple objects from the natural and industrial worlds.  His focus is to capture a moment of time in which the simplest detail of texture, light, contrast, and atmosphere is captured as a photograph.  It is through an experience of the photograph that Silaghi invites viewers to create their own art experience, a portal to a moment of simplicity.
Haley-Henman Gallery at Gallery 422 is located in the Trinity Groves neighborhood in Dallas at 422 Singleton Boulevard. Gallery hours are Wednesday through Saturday, noon to 5 pm and by appointment.  Please call or text 214-532-3225 for more information.###
