Call For Entries: Kamme Art Scholarship Art Show and Festival

Second Annual Kamme Art Scholarship Art Show and Festival! There will be a Juried show inside the studio, a pop-up art fair in the square, food trucks and live music.

All artists will compete for:
Best in Show: $150
Second Place: $100
Third Place: $50
Honorable Mention prizes for photography, sculpture/mixed media, painting (oil, acrylic, watercolor) and drawing/pastels (graphite, colored pencils, pen, etc.

Important dates:

Acceptance of entries: March 7-June 15 (for juried show. Booths might be extended)

Notification of acceptance, both jury show and booths:  June 25

Delivery of artwork to Kamme Art Gallery 304 Bolivar, Sanger TX 76266:

 July 9, 12-4 pm; July 10, 1-7pm

This year’s judge is . Anne began her art studies when she was six, attending the adult classes of Gustav Likan at the Art School at Laguna Gloria in Austin, Texas. Mr. Likan’s daring work as a colorist influenced her greatly, and he mentored her until his death in 1998. Anne’s work also reflects the influence of traditional Japanese art and aesthetics which she encountered during an extended stay in Japan. Anne earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from Austin College and three Master’s Degrees from Yale University: Religion and the Visual Arts, East Asian Studies, and the History of Art. She has taught studio art for 30 years, mentoring and preparing students for higher education and career opportunities in the visual arts. She also teaches art history at the Heard-Craig Center for the Arts and at SAIL (Collin College). Anne leads the Arts and Music Guild, and exhibits her work at The Cove, McKinney. You can visit her website at: www.anneroyer.com

Arts in the Square – Last Call for Entries! 1/23/15 DEADLINE


Arts in the Square is an outdoor juried fine arts festival hosted by Frisco Square in collaboration with the Frisco Independent School District, with proceeds going to Frisco Family Services and the Frisco Education Foundation.

Frisco Square would like to see 500 applicants, although only 120 artists will be accepted.


Here are the highlights:

– cash prizes for artists participating in the festival: a Best-in-Show ($500) and Juror’s Choice ($500).

-Artists can submit work in one of 10 categories, including fine arts/graphics, pottery, painting, textiles, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, photography, wood, and miscellaneous.

– Last year more than 20,000 people attended.

-DFW area teachers and professors are allowed to share a booth



-$25 application fee

-$325 booth fee (10’x10′ space)

-artist keeps proceeds from sales but must comply with state comptroller for all taxes

Assiduous Artists will be presenting an art fair at one of Dallas’ greatest Tex-Mex café’s; Herrera’s Tex-Mex Café. Come out to view or buy some spectacular art by some of these talented artists. Tickets are $6 online and $8 at the door. As an attending artist within the 2014 Abstract Art Fair you will be entitled to the following:
•Artwork displayed within the assigned booth
•A photo of you or a logo representing you included on our advertising flyers and our website. Flyers will be distributed to visitors of the show as well as on Facebook.
•Your own artist’s profile on the Assiduous Artists website
•Your presence at the expo will be announced via Twitter & Facebook
•Digital flyers designed for your own online distribution promoting your presence at the expo*
For Your:
Exhibit 3D Artwork or Jewelry Display
•A 4’ x 6’ area to display your work
•1- 6’ x 6’ table space for displaying your work and business cards etc. (additional fee)
Participation Fee: $225-$235 (no commission)
