In September 2018, the Hill Country Arts Foundation will relaunch the Texas Arts & Crafts Fair, after a hiatus of five years. The Fair will be on the foundation’s 13-acre campus in Ingram, Texas, just west of Kerrville.
The event is restricted to Texas artists and craftsmen.
Against a backdrop of the scenic Guadalupe River, between 2,000-4,000 attendees are expected to visit the Texas Arts & Crafts Fair Sept. 29-30, 2018. A VIP Preview and musical concert will be held Friday, Sept. 28, 2018.
The Hill Country Arts Foundation features a 720-seat outdoor amphitheater, 1,700-square foot art gallery, three art instruction studios, a printmaking studio and a ceramics studio with four kilns. Since 1959, the HCAF has provided community theatre, art workshops, art exhibitions, and visual and performing arts classes. Additionally, HCAF has become a top-ranked tourist destination with the addition of the Stonehenge II art installation.
Founded in 1972, this “official” state arts festival will feature a wide range of juried arts and crafts, favorite fair food offerings, entertainment and related educational and recreational activities.
To build upon the fair’s educational legacy, the 2018 event introduces a new feature called the “Art Exploration Zone.” This dynamic area will allow fairgoers to watch artists and craftspeople work, including an interactive area for children to make their own art.

Fee (Jury Fee): $30.00
Event Dates: 11/17/2018 – 11/18/2018
The Las Artistas Art & Fine Craft Show, now in its 49th year, is a popular pre-Thanksgiving event, attracting an upscale audience of arts and crafts collectors and enthusiasts from El Paso, TX, Las Cruces, NM, and beyond. This small, artist-produced show is strictly juried, catering to affluent and savvy buyers. Booth fees are very reasonable and include electricity, reported art and fine craft sales are consistently strong, and the event has a friendly, easy going atmosphere. All booths will be located INSIDE and will be 10×10 or 10×15! To attract even more buyers, the show will feature art and craft demonstrations, live music, and creative cuisine from food trucks.
Las Artistas is working with a professional marketing agency with arts and crafts event expertise to promote the show and is updating its website to provide exhibitors with additional exposure. El Paso is known as a community that supports, promotes and funds the arts. In fact, our extensive advertising budget is funded in part by the Texas State Commission on the Arts and the City of El Paso Museums and Cultural Affairs Department.
This year, we are having a new section that we are calling Next Generation. This section of artists will be composed by local children under the age of 18. They will have a table displaying their pieces. This is part of an effort to build the art community in the area.
Don’t miss this opportunity to sell your work in a fun, festive environment!
