Infinite Kamme Art Scholarship Art Show and Gabby Devore Benefit call for artists

We are still accepting submissions for artists to be a part of the juried exhibition in the gallery and/or have a booth in the Art Fair in the Square to benefit both the endowment of the Kamme Art Scholarship administered by the Sanger Education Foundation and Gabby Devore, the first recipient of the scholarship this year who was in a car accident and suffered a traumatic brain injury.

Kerian Massey Art Opening at the Ben Creative Art Center August 1st


Artist Kerian Massey invites you to her colorful art show. Her whimsical style permeates through her collection of animals, cars and objects in which she adorns with life and curiousity. Her style encompasses color and humor in many shades of realism with a twist. Some of her art runs deeper into the surrealistic world.

Having been an illustrator for the past 15 years, it reflects in her painting style and humor. Each piece tells a story in it’s own vivid way. Art of Peace Tyler: call for artists


Submit your visual art to the 2015 Art of PeaceTyler Museum of Art juried peace art exhibit! You can contact Kerian Massey at artofpeace@gmail.com for a copy of the prospectus. or click here to download. The Submissions are due at the END OF THIS MONTH. July 31st!

Art of Peace – Tyler is a month-long celebration of the United Nations International Day of Peace, which is designated as September 21, each year. Events include live music, independent film, poetry, art, speakers, children’s activities, worship services and an open-table peace meal.The kickoff for the event will be a juried visual art exhibit at the Tyler Museum of Art.

Our Art of Peace – Tyler art show theme this year is Intertwined – Shared Endeavor. Artists are encouraged to creatively respond to concepts such as cooperation, collaboration, partnership, interaction, entanglement, sharing, and, of course, peace.

The exhibit will be open to the public at the Tyler Museum of Art from September 8-13, with an artists’ reception on the afternoon of Sunday, September 13. Submissions, by digital image, are due July 31, with announcement of accepted works by mid-August and delivery September 1-2.

Fresh Ideas Show 2015, Visual Art of Lewisville

The Visual Art of Lewisville, Texas is pleased to announce the opening reception for the Fresh Ideas Show on Saturday, June 27th from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event will be held at the MCL Grand Theater Art Gallery in Lewisville, Texas.


The reception will include refreshments, and music from local duo JUST US, singer-songwriters Julie and Jeff Cater. The band is known for their clean vocals, tight harmonies, and energetic guitar riffs. They will perform their acoustic mix of originals and great classics.

The Juror this year is Diane Reader Dorn. Diane’s work is featured in numerous public, private, and corporate collections, including the Longview Museum of Fine Art. Her achievements include the prestigious Pauline Bishop Leman Memorial Award for Outstanding Artistic Contribution to Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas. Diane holds a bachelor’s degree in Fine Art.

Call for ARTrageous Submissions – June 21st Deadline!


The Visual Arts Guild of Frisco will host an open art show for members and non-members this summer in the Frisco Art Gallery at Frisco’s Discovery Center. Come during regular business hours to view art of all mediums and genres from local artists. Submit up to 5 images to artwithpaige@gmail.com BY JUNE 21 to be considered for this show.

Up to three images will be accepted per artist. Entry fee is $10 for VAGF members and $20 for non-VAGF members.

Pieces must be ready-to-hang. Drop off will be June 28th from 12-2pm at the Frisco Discovery Center.

Kettle Art presents “Grit” – Opening Reception Thursday, April 9, 7-10pm
“Grit” celebrates the spirit of Charles Portis’ beloved novel “True Grit”
in a group exhibition by North Texas artists featuring diverse works on the theme. This exhibit at Kettle Art in historic Deep Ellum is the sole gallery element in a month-long series of events presented by the Big-D Reads campaign throughout April in Dallas, Texas.

Please join us for the opening reception on Thursday, April 9, 7:00-10:00pm. The exhibit runs through Saturday, April 18.

Artists include: Scott Horn, Clay Stinnett, Jeff Skele, Todd Bot, Justin Clumpner, Hilda LaFleur, Jennifer Lafleur, Lisa Lindholm, Christian Millet, Brad Albright, George Fowler, Minji Watrous, Tom Currie, Rick McCoy, Paul Pena, Brian Crawford, Steve & Erin Reeves, Nina Harp, and Frank Campagna.

* Big D Reads is a celebration of literacy in Dallas through the distribution and celebration of one book for one month. The community service project is designed to immerse Dallas in a shared reading experience, with a specific focus on ninth-grade Dallas ISD students.

Big D Reads will conduct dozens of special events centered on “True Grit”, including an opening event, a closing event, poetry slams, educational events/speakers, DISD enrichment programs, movie screenings, a festival at Klyde Warren Park, and as many other community interactions as budget allows. At the same time, 17,000 books will be distributed to DISD ninth-graders, as well as to DART riders, visitors in hospital waiting rooms, and all branches of the Dallas Public Library. The program is under way now and will culminate with a citywide initiative throughout the entire month of April.
