The Dallas Center for Photography has created two programs focused on kids and teens scheduled in June and July. Both programs are broken out into different sessions for similar age groups and run over five days.
- The DCP Summer Photo Camps teach students how to create pictures with the materials and technique that have been used to make photographs for over 150 years, including digital technology and hands-on methods. Details and registration can be found here.
- The DCP Summer Video Camps teach kids skills about making little movies using whatever technology available to them. The workshop covers hands-on production, shooting and editing of an individual mini-movie and a larger group project.
Details and registration can be found here.
Since adults don’t get to play often enough, we are also offering a summer photo camp for adults. It covers similar handmade photography techniques as the program for kids and teens and is spread out over four consecutive Sunday afternoons. More details here.
The Dallas Center for photography has been the leading photographic training center in Dallas for six years. Our workshops cover a range of styles, subjects and aspirations, always encouraging experimentation. We also provide movie nights, gallery shows, and events, for community building, and to engage and inspire.
