The Visual Arts Guild of Frisco is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization of volunteers dedicated to promoting the Visual Arts and educating the public. We are focused on enhancing the visibility of local artists and creating a peer learning network. The Guild features local and regional artists in quality shows, workshops, and lectures which are open to the public. Artistic styles range from Traditional to Contemporary in a variety of media.

|The Visual Arts Guild is offering life drawing at The Discovery Center Saturday, July 21, July 28, Aug 4 and Aug 11
8:30 am to Noon We are planning to have both male and female models. Members $10.00. Nonmembers $20.00.
Bring your drawing support, paper, pencils, charcoal, pastel, water media or whatever you need to complete your sketch. We will do quick sketches and longer poses. Please send an email to email@example.com to make sure we have enough seating.
We will begin setting up at 8:30 am on Saturday and have the model until noon. We have several easels.

Quick Draw with Georgi Still:
Bring your paper and paints/pencils. We will be creating a still life artwork. If you don’t want to paint or draw, just come and visit.
The time has come to get the ball rolling for our 2nd annual “artseen studio tour” here in Frisco. This year’s tour will be Saturday, October 20 (10:00am – 5:00pm) and Sunday, October 21 (1:00pm – 5:00pm).
VAGF has teamed with Frisco Arts Association and will have tables available at the Black Box Theatre. We will also have a table for children’s art. Please let us know if you want to have a table at the Black Box for the ArtTour.
Here’s what you need to do:

2. We will then invoice you for $50 via PayPal — that is the fee for each participating artist and merchant. This will cover the cost for printing high-quality tri-fold maps, yard signs, advertising posters, postcards, etc., and also print advertising in local papers. In addition, you will have a bio, photos and a link to your site on www.artseenhere.com for almost a year.
3. Send me a high-quality JPEG image of your art to be used in all promotional materials. This image should be eye-catching and create interest in your art. People quickly make their decisions on which artists to see by looking at your JPEG. Choose a high-contrast image with good quality that is typical of your work.
4. Send me an artist statement and bio. Images and bio/artist statement should be sent to this e-mail address. (See examples atwww.artseenhere.com/studiotour2011.)
