Open call for Guest Curators for TVAA Gallery Art Exhibitions for 2018
Texas Visual Arts Association is a non-profit organization operated for the encouragement and enrichment of visual artists in all media. The primary goal of TVAA is to provide a venue for the education and exhibitions of professional artists as well as to provide an opportunity for artists of diverse backgrounds to promote public awareness, involvement and support from the community. Our location is in the Plaza of the Americas in downtown Dallas, 700 N. Pearl Street.
If you are interested in curating one of the monthly shows at our gallery please submit a brief bio about yourself, an artist statement, and what type of show you would like to curate or if you would be open to a theme picked by the Gallery Director.
Please submit up to ten images of your work (jpgs at 72 dpi and no longer than 1800 pixels on longest side) by Submission Deadline. Please submit all requirements to firstname.lastname@example.org with Curator 2018 in the subject line.
Submission Deadline for JPG’s: Date: May 1st, 2018
Acceptance Notification: Date: June 1st, 2018
This is open to TVAA members (and/or non-members).
These positions are unpaid, but will provide amazing exposure as they will have extensive advertising by the organization. There is no entry fee; however if offered this opportunity you must be present on hanging day, the reception, closing day, and agree to sit in the gallery for one day as well
