Fall ArtsGoggle Registration Now Open!

Saturday, October 12, 2013 | 4 PM – 10 PM
Mark your calendars to join us as we celebrate the 10-year anniversary of ArtsGoggle, the Near Southside’s most loved community arts event.
Registration closes Sunday, September 15.

A decade of success would not have been possible without the important partnerships of our venues, artists, patrons and volunteers. We’d like to extend our sincere thanks to each of you for your vision and support over the last ten years. We look forward to seeing you at the event!

Registration for artists and venues is now open!

The spirit of ArtsGoggle is to highlight and celebrate the best and brightest of our local art scene. All artists are highly encouraged to participate! Painters, photographers, woodworkers, weavers, printmakers, draughtsmen, sculptors, potters, jewelers, illustrators and more PLEASE REGISTER!

In addition, we are now accepting applications for on-street entertainers and buskers.  While we are not able to pay you for your services, we would love for you to showcase your talents and contribute to our festival atmosphere!  Use the button below to register.  Bands need not apply.

Here are some details you should know.

This summer Fort Worth South, Inc. conducted a survey in which we asked artists, patrons, venues and vendors to share their thoughts about the event. We received valuable feedback from over 400 participants that will be used to shape the plans for our upcoming event. Based on your advice, we’re taking ArtsGoggle to even greater heights.

More than previous events, this October’s ArtsGoggle will focus on venues within the 3 mixed-use urban villages: Magnolia Avenue, Park Place Village and South Main Village. While we embrace the development progress made throughout the Near Southside, ArtsGoggle events will now consolidate event efforts to these three areas in order to provide a more manageable and predictable experience for our artists and patrons.  We are making big plans to increase the “festival atmosphere” within South Main Village and Park Place Village, with denser booth
placement and more entertainment, food and beverages.

We will no longer assign artists to venues in outlying areas.  Venues not located in these areas may still participate and be listed in the program but will need to arrange for their own artists. In order to maintain convenient trolley service, the free ArtsGoggle trolley will only circulate among the three primary villages.

We know ArtsGoggle communication needs improvement, and we are on it! A standardized registration process will help it happen.  This year we are asking that ALL artists and venues register for ArtsGoggle through Fort Worth South, Inc.  This single point-of-contact process will improve correspondence leading up to the event. It also ensures we have correct information for publication in the program, and allows us to promote participants weeks before the event. We will have a strong social media presence both before and during ArtsGoggle with more thoughtful promotion of the great experiences planned this fall!

To improve event-day coordination within our South Main Village and Park Place Village block party areas, we will be adding on-site artist check-in and coordination for a smoother set-up experience.

Each year as ArtsGoggle grows, so do the operating costs of the event.  In order to produce an even higher quality event with the same great neighborhood experience, we are implementing a small registration fee for artists and non-member venues.  The money collected will provide vital funding to support improved communications, pre-event promotions, event programs, signage and more.
