Part III: Glass and You will feature educational programming for public engagement with glass artists, their work, glass-blowing demonstrations, classes, and glass installations throughout Dallas.
A Panel Discussion – “WHY GLASS?” will be held on June 28, from 6 - 7 pm at The McKinney Avenue Contemporary, 3120 McKinney Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75204. Tel. 214-953-1212 and website www.the-mac.org.

Why Glass? will feature four panelists – three of Texas’ best-known glass artists and a legendary collector. The artists are Jim Bowman, co-owner of Bowman Hot Glass Studios in Dallas, Carlyn Ray, owner of Carlyn Ray Designs in central Texas, and Tim Todd, co-founder of Sinaca Studios in Fort Worth. The collector is Dennis DuBois, who with his wife Barbara, has been collecting glass art for more than thirty years and has one of the premier collections of glass in the country. Why Glass? will be moderated by Glass 2012 committee chair, Patricia B. Meadows. |
