Nationally-known watermedia artist and instructor Robert Burridge is the feature speaker at the April 16 meeting of the Society of Watercolor Artists in Fort Worth. The meeting opens a half-hour early at 6:30 pm and the demonstration begins at 7pm. For directions, see the website at http://swa-watercolor.com. Cost to nonmembers to attend is $10.

Bob is a full time contemporary painter and teaches mixed media, collage and painting worldwide. He is the Honorary President of the International Society of Acrylic Painters, a Signature Member of Philadelphia Water Color Society and ISAP. His honors include the prestigious “Crest Medal for Achievement in the Arts” and the Franklin Mint award. The San Luis Obispo Museum of Art curated fourteen of his abstract paintings for his first solo museum exhibition and will exhibit his latest series of seven foot charcoal drawings in 2012. He is a popular lecturer and writer with more than one hundred articles published. Burridge’s studio is located on eight acres overlooking California’s central coast in San Luis Obispo County.

Burridge is known for his enthusiam and encouragment in teaching watermedia, as well as his abstract and expressionistic style. He will also be giving two 3-day workshops later in the week, but they are already full.

Bob has written and published two artist books: Loosen Up Studio Workbook and Art Marketing: The Business of Selling Your Art. Plus he produced and starred in five teaching videos and DVDs.
