Figure Drawing Session with Michael O'Keefe
Saturday, May 19th from 1:00 pm to 4:00pm
at the Bonny Studio
The cost is $60.00  

Every artist can benefit from the physical, mental, and visual exercise of drawing from a live model! The Bonny Studio would like to invite you to come draw from the model with instruction from Michael O'Keefe.Michael will interact with participants one-on-one, addressing any drawing concerns regarding the human head or the full figure helping them draw better, see more clearly, and go further on their personal artistic path.

Supplies: Please bring pencils and/or charcoal (which ever you are more comfortable with) and a pad of paper (no smaller then 11x14 and no bigger then 18 x 24), and an eraser.

Due to limited space for easel set-up and model;we will only be able to have 12 people. Please sign up ASAP with a $25.00 deposit and the $35.00 balance due April 28th. cancellation policy:The $25.00 deposit is a non-refundable deposit. The balance due is $35.00. In the event of cancellation, $35.00 will be refunded if someone from the waiting list is able to attend.

You are welcome to bring a lunch and as always, there will be plenty of snacks and drinks.

Michael O’Keefe currently resides in Dallas, TX where he lives and works as an artist. In 2003 O’Keefe moved to Dallas from New York in order to pursue an Masters degree in visual arts at Southern Methodist University. In 2006 O’Keefe received his MFA and chose to remain in Dallas to continue his career as an artist as well as to teach at various institutions in the area. O’Keefe currently teaches drawing at Eastfield College, and teaches both drawing and sculpture at Brookhaven College and SMU. He also teaches drawing to architects at Corgan Associates, Inc., a prominent international architect and design firm located in Dallas. Prior to relocating to Dallas, O’Keefe taught Drawing, Painting, and Sculpture for many years to high-functioning mentally ill adults in New York City with the organization HAI, Inc. O’Keefe received his BA from Muhlenberg College in 1999. He also studied at the New York Studio School, the Maryland Institute, College of Art, and The International School of Art in Umbria, Italy. O’Keefe has shown his work at various locations in New York, Philadelphia, and Dallas.
