Cyndi Barnes writes: "I am a mosaic/concrete artist, mom of two (older kids, 17 & 21) and wife (my husband owns concrete material supplies companies). I have been an artist my entire life, but in the last 5 years I have specialized in mosaics and concrete art. I was very fortunate to find several mosaic artists in the Metroplex area to learn from. The Creative Arts Center in Dallas, was where I started my adventure in the world of mosaics.

I now specialize in mosaics on 3D forms that I build out of Styrofoam and concrete, then mosaic on top. I now can add, 'concrete artist too' since I have recently added carved concrete pieces to my specialty. My 3D pieces can be used inside or outside, depending on the wants and needs of the client. "
