Internationally-known watercolorist Rob Erdle passed away Dec. 30 from cancer. He was known for abstract painterly style. University of North Texas Regents Professor Rob Erdle taught at the university in Denton since 1976. For more about his UNT career, see the UNT notice.
The University of North Texas will have a service for Rob Erdle at noon on January 24th in the Light Well on the first floor of the Art Building, one block west of Mulberry and Welch streets.
The First United Methodist Church of Richardson will have a Memorial Service for him on Wednesday, January 31st at 11:00 AM. The church is located at 534 Beltline Rd. near Arapaho, adjacent to Central Expressway.
There will be an SWS Memorial Award in memory of Rob Erdle. Contribution checks should be made to SWS with the proper notation and mailed to Bill Riley, SWS Treasurer. His email is bill@rileys.ws.
