The AIR/HMC invites interested visual artists, writers, performers to submit application for its residency program in December-January. The goal is to provide a supportive community with uninterrupted time to work.  AIR/HMC, Budapest is an international meeting point for the arts.  Its aim is to support and encourage contemporary artistic creation, research and debate.  The purpose of this program is to offer a platform to promote the exchange of artistic discourses from artists with different artistic backgrounds and from different geographical origins.  

AIR/HMC is open to artists of all practices: drawing, painting, literature, video, photography, performance.

During the artist’s stay, committee members will be invited to individual visits to the workshops. Our workshop visiting program will feature art professionals added with personalized invitations to curators, art critics and heads of international institutions.

Applicants are expected to speak and understand English.

While HMC does not provide funding for residencies, we are helping to facilitate the creation of program, the cost of the exhibitions and cover %40 of total cost, artists cover %60.

The jury decision will be pronounced no later than September 15, 2010.

The HMC is an artist run, non-profit, multi-disciplinary arts organization dedicated to excellence, experimentation, and education in all forms of contemporary art and culture.  The AIR-HMC’s mission to bridge cultural, geographic, and linguistic divides by bringing people together through the arts in order to foster a greater understanding of world cultures.
