The Visual Art League of Lewisville Artist of the month for November is Jackie Haugen.

Ms. Haugen has been a member of the Art League for many years and is definitely one busy woman. While currently enrolled at the College of Visual Arts and Design in Denton as a watercolor major, she works fulltime at the Lewisville Hospital as a RN in the Day Surgery Department. This year she won 2nd place in the VAL show, "Made in Texas" and also juried an art contest at the Highland Village Balloon Fest. She is also active in the VAST Critique Group in Denton.
"It is my desire to use realism in a painterly fashion to interest the viewer. I enjoy watching people respond to my ideas. Creating art to me is playful, prayerful, thoughtful and hopeful and I give God thanks and praise for allowing me this dimension in my life".
The Visual Art League of Lewisville is located at 701 S. Stemmons Fwy., #115, in the Lewisville West Shopping Center, west side of 1-35 between Main Street and Fox Avenue.
