Want to find buddies to paint or create art with? These informal activity or support groups fulfill that need. They are usually sponsored by a nonprofit artist group or a community art center.

The groups meet either weekly or monthly and are usually free unless there is a model or materials fee. Most are open to the public; some may be limited to members of an association or by invitation only. Most meet in a public facility; others may rotate locations or be plein aire (outside painting and drawing)

Critique groups may have a critique fee for the art critic. Some are free group-based critiques. Bring a hardy ego and prepare to learn.

To verify the schedule and location, please contact the group. For additions and corrections, please use the Contact button.
