The Richardson Civic Art Society will be holding its next program meeting on Tuesday, May 17, 2016.
May’s artist is Rusty Jones. He will be demonstrating oil paints.
Texas based artist, Rusty Jones traces his earliest influence to his grandmother. She had a studio on the second floor of a historic home, part of a stagecoach stop outside San Antonio. She would set up still lifes for him or take him outside to paint.
Rusty graduated from UT with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biomedical Communications and from UTD Health Science Centre with a MA in Medical Illustration. He is a Certified Medical Illustrator and a Fellow of the Association of Medical Illustrators.
For over three decades Rusty provided highly technical medical art for major pharmaceutical and medical product companies, as well as for medical journals, surgical atlases and for ad agencies.
