Richardson Civic Art Society

Richardson Civic Art Society invites all DFW metroplex artists to join us for an art-filled season.  Art shows, artist’s demonstrations, and workshops are organized by RCAS to benefit anyone who wants to participate.  Complete information on the events of the 2013-14 season is available on the website at

The first artist’s demonstration will be at the monthly meeting on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at 6:30.  A printmaking demonstration will be given by Lynne Hubner, a Dallas-area printmaker.   Lynne is an active lecturer and workshop presenter, whose work is exhibited in numerous university and private collections.  Lynne is represented by two galleries in Texas and teaches classes at the McKinney ArtHouse.

The first workshop will be held at the McKinney Art House at 502 N. Kentucky Street, in McKinney, also by Lynne Hubner, who will work with participants in gelatin printmaking on Saturday, September 28.  Her work can be seen at

Finally, RCAS sponsors six art shows each year with different objectives, from membership shows to area elementary school competitions, to a regional exhibition with prize awards.  The first show is a Membership Show in the fall, which hangs in the Richardson Public Library.

Richardson Civic Art Society meets on third Tuesdays in the Richardson Public Library basement at 6:30.  RCAS is supported in part by the City of Richardson through the Arts Commission.
