The Richardson Civic Art Society will be holding its’ October meeting Tuesday, October 18, 2016. October’s artist will be Maribeth Jagger, demonstrating Alcohol Ink. Meeting starts at 6:30.
She primarily works with alcohol inks as she feels they vibrate with a purity of color, fluidity and energy that’s hard to replicate with other mediums. “I love the vibrancy and spontaneity of alcohol inks.
Maribeth Jagger has painted most of her adult life. She received her art degree from Northwest Florida State University. Currently she teaches alcohol ink classes at The McKinney Art Studio in McKinney, Texas and at the Artist Showplace in Dallas.
She also gives workshops and demonstrations at various art clubs and organizations. Maribeth has taught art to many youth groups, like heading the Art in a Suitcase school program for the Chrysler Art Museum in Virginia Beach, VA and at the Colorado Springs Art Museum.
