Maureen Brouillette – “Duality is an important theme in my work. I like to play with contrast between order and chaos, analytical and intuitive and geometric and organic. The final result I strive for is a balance between reality and abstraction. I use acrylic, oil, collage and a variety of drawing tools to make my paintings.”
Maureen is an accomplished artist and teacher. She has been featured in The Artist’s Magazine and Watercolor Artist magazine and has received numerous awards in national juried exhibits. Maureen has work in corporate collections, including a recent acquisition by Rutgers University. She has two paintings, Organics I and II, which were featured nationwide by Crate and Barrel. Brouillette previously worked for 25 years as a commercial designer and art director. She now teaches classes and workshops, does demos and critiques.
Maureen is a signature member of the International Society of Experimental Artists (ISEA), South Western Watercolor Society (SWS) and Texas Watercolor Society (TWS).
