“Hybrid: clay and light” a presentation by Artist Colby Parsons at the VAST March 3rd Meeting

Please join the Visual Arts Society of Texas (VAST) on Thursday, March 3rd from 7-9 p.m. for a presentation entitled “Hybrid: clay and light” by ceramic artist Colby Parsons.

Colby Parsons, MFA, is an Associate Professor in Visual Art at Texas Woman’s University in Denton, where he teaches Ceramics and Emergent Media. Colby’s work explores the potential meanings and aesthetics resulting from the convergence of traditional and digital media, and works in a range of media and formats including ceramics, projection mapping, installation and interactivity.

Colby’s work has been shown nationally and internationally at venues including Navy Pier in, the Taipei County Yingge Ceramics Museum; the International Ceramic Research Center in Denmark; the Orange County Center for Contemporary Art in Santa Ana, California; the University of Pennsylvania Art Museum; and in Dallas at the Craighead Green Gallery, the Pawn Gallery, and 500X.
