Francys Flanagan Oil Demo March 28 in DeSoto

FRANCYS FLANAGAN, OIL PAINTING DEMO at MARCH 28th 2013 MEETING of the DeSoto Art League, 7:00 P.M., DESOTO PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 212 W. PLEASANT RUN RD., DESOTO, TX 75115 http://www.desotoartleague.com/

Our demonstrator March 28th will be Francys Flanagan. She is a painter who presents a lot of self expression in her work. Her works are noted for their unique style, elegance and technique. She likes to blend realism with impressionism.. Her use of bright colors and soft edges make her work an excellent choice for a wide range of subject matter. Francys likes to use a glazing technique first developed by the old masters. She knew she wanted to be an artist even as a small girl but didn’t know what kind. So, she reads lots of books on various subjects. After meeting artist Dick Turner, she knew she wanted to be a painter and studied with him for five years. Francys has received instruction from many different well known artists. She is currently represented by the Artisans Collective in Dallas and the Morgan-Dane Gallery in Grapevine. Francys lives and teaches from her studio in Ferris, Texas.

Be sure to come to this meeting and welcome Francys as she does her own style of oil painting.
