Fall Meetings and Demonstrations at the Trinity Arts Guild:

Meetings are held on the first Monday evening of the month (except for Labor Day.) Visitors and guests are welcome to attend our monthly meetings and demonstrations.

Demo artist: Steve Ko

Steve Ko, winner of Best of Show in the 2015 Trinity Arts Guild Open Show will be our first demo artist of the year.

Steve Ko is an internationally known artist and teacher who is driven by an incredible passion for creating artworks in the old master’s style such as John Singer Sargent.  His works are often noted for their unique style and elegance.   

Steve developed his artistic abilities at the Art Center College of California.

Steve is accomplished at both traditional and modern techniques.  He uses brilliant colors to portray his subjects.   

Please join us August 31, 2015 for what promises to be a wonderful demonstration.

Demo artist: Maureen Brouillette

Maureen Brouillette    “Duality is an important theme in my work.  I like to play with contrast between order and chaos, analytical and intuitive and geometric and organic.  The final result I strive for is a balance between reality and abstraction.  I use acrylic, oil, collage and a variety of drawing tools to make my paintings.”

Ms. Brouillette is an accomplished artist and teacher. She has been featured in The Artist’s Magazine and Watercolor Artist magazine and has received numerous awards in national juried exhibits. Maureen has work in corporate collections, including a recent acquisition by Rutgers University. She has two paintings, Organics I and II, which were featured nationwide by Crate and Barrel. Brouillette previously worked for 25 years as a commercial designer and art director. She now teaches classes and workshops, does demos and critiques.

Maureen is a signature member of the International Society of Experimental Artists (ISEA),  South Western Watercolor Society (SWS) and Texas Watercolor Society (TWS).

Demo artist: Junanne Peck

Born in Texas and growing up in New Mexico, Peck has been a practicing artist-painter and printmaker for more than 30 years.  She studied painting and sculpture at New Mexico State and was introduced to printmaking in Austin, Texas at Flatbed Press.  Her works are exhibited in New Mexico, Oklahoma, Louisiana and throughout Texas and have been in solo and group exhibitions. Peck also curates exhibits.  She has been presenting workshops with Akua Inks using the Pin Press and etching press for the last six years.  Peck was also published in “Fiber Arts” Design Book 5 and was selected as a Texas Originals (TXO) Artist by the Texas Commission on the Arts

Juanne Peck is a multifaceted artist who creates works in a range of media from acrylic, watercolor, assemblage, and encaustics.  Her printmaking techniques include monotype, collagraphs, dry point, polyester plate lithography and etching.  Drawing is the foundation of her work it is the vehicle she uses to express many of the ideas that spring from her dreams and meditation.  Her sketchbook is always at hand.
