Texas Watercolor Artist Robert W. Cook creates realistic paintings that embrace a variety of subjects including urban landscapes, old buildings, classic cars, and serene get-away places. Bob is a signature member of the National Watercolor Society and the Society of Watercolor Artists. His original paintings are usually outdoor settings, old and new architecture, weathered structures, and images that keep us in the present or transport us back to a time long passed. Bob spent his early years in Leawood, KS where he attended the Kansas City Art Institute and Baker University, then moved to Clearwater Florida where he painted pictures of new structures being built during the building boom there. He has been a TX resident the last 30 years. After forty years and 13,000+ paintings as an architectural illustrator, Bob is now retired, and spends his time in his studio on Lake Granbury, Texas. Bobs watercolors are part of the corporate collections of Champlain Oil Company, Texas Instruments, the National Corvette Museum, and the Texas Baptist Convention Center. He is represented by Your Private Collection Gallery, on the square, in Granbury TX. He is a signature member of the National Watercolor Society and SWA.

Spring brings the Spring FANtastic Fans Contest Twice a year we have a bit of fun with the paddle bamboo fans that are sold at the Japanese Gardens on April 25 & 26 in Fort Worth. The April meeting is the time to bring your painted fans and see whose fan gets the most votes! Of course, contribution of the fans is encouraged (as well as painted bookmarks). Marie Coerver graciously heads up this activity and has for many years. If anyone would like to join her or help in the set up at the Gardens on 25/26 April let Marie know!
