opening celebration on Sunday, Feb 11th, 4-7pm
with music from Little Mazarn of Austin and the opening sponsored by Saint Arnold Brewery

 – We met Max Kuhn from a box set book he sent us a while back.  It was sincere and full of great art and made us feel like we had known him forever.  We finally talked him into visiting us in Texas and talked him in to showing his work here.  They are collages and paintings/drawings from this kind fella who is a modern day traveler and tattoo artist.

3A Flash sheet by Ted Inman, 1940’s from Texas, ink on board 19 x 12”

– The vintage flash sheets from tattoo parlors of the 1900’s – 1940’s come from the collection of Jonathan Shaw.  Jonathan ran a tattoo parlor years back and is famous for tattooing Johnny Depp.  There are two books out about Jonathan’s collection – Vintage Tattoo Flash: 100 Years of Traditional Tattoos from the Collection of Jonathan Shaw and Jonathan also wrote his memoirs in Scab Vendor: confessions of a tattoo artist, 2017.  This is the first time pieces from Jonathan’s collection have been offered to the public.

***upstairs gallery will be work by Lili Todd – this is Esther Pearl Watson & Mark Todd’s daughter and the youngest artist we have ever shown at the age of 17.

All at Webb Gallery – 209 W. Franklin – Waxahachie TX 75165 – 972/938/8085
