FIRST PLACE
“Dutch Tulips” by Dennis Crayon

“I am painting Trompe-l’œil where part of the painting is in focus the same ways that when you remember something part of the memory is focused and part of the memory is cloudy or deteriorated. I forced grew these tulips at home in the middle of the winter it gave me memories of past springs.”

SECOND PLACE
“Be Who You Are” by Leighann Foster

“You Cannot be Something You Are Not.”

THIRD PLACE
“Bluebonnets in the Early Afternoon” by Liz Rugg

“Can you see the shadows cast by clouds in the afternoon sky?”

PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD
“Late Summer Evening” by Joan Chamberlain

“Flowers from a late summer garden cast interesting shadows across a patio table, set for a couple of wine lovers. Like looking for shapes in the clouds, I can find fun characters in the long, cast shadows of the bottle, flowers and leaves. Can you see the guard dog baring his teeth at anyone daring to steal a sip of wine?”
