Irving Art Association Member artist Sharon Serrago starts off our new year with a beautiful exhibit entitled “Sharon Serrago: Italy and Beyond” in the East Gallery at the Jaycee Park Center for the Arts. Directions.
Her work will be on view January 7 through January 26. The Reception will be Sunday, Jan. 21 from 2-4pm.
About the artist:
Sharon Serrago is a local area artist, teaching weekly watercolor and acrylic classes at her studio in Richardson, TX. As her teaching strength lies in design and color theory, her classes always focus on strong fundamentals. Sharon’s ability to quickly spot problem areas in paintings and her adeptness at offering solutions has caught the eye of many art clubs and organizations who have subsequently invited her to present demonstrations, offer critiques of members’ works, and judge competitions.
She works a variety of mediums: watercolor, acrylics, oils, collage, oil and cold wax.
A signature member of SWS, Sharon has been accepted into numerous exhibitions including Western Federation WS, Alabama WS, Georgia WS, Illinois WS, Irving WS, Houston WS, and several others.
An entrepreneur with her hand in several businesses, Sharon’s first love is her art. While she frequently paints realistically, she is most at home when painting abstracts. Her styles are as diverse as her talents, all of which goes into making her one of Dallas’ interesting artists.
