ART/PHOTOGRAPHY/MIXED MEDIA EXHIBITION featuring singer/songwriter Robert BlindDog Cook and artist Claudia Lowery.

Join us in a mixed media event combining talents of two artists who have collaborated for over a year toward a shared vision.

Robert BlindDog Cook returns to an earlier interest in photography that allows the viewer to see the world as he sees it. As a low-vision artist his perspective includes the use of light in creative ways, sometimes blurred, using distortion to it’s greatest advantage, and brings humor, thought, and a flair for the whimsical. In addition all the pre-recorded music at the evening’s event will have been written, performed, and produced by BlindDog. Widely regarded within the music community as a gifted musician it will come as a surprise to much of his public that another of his many talents involves photography and digital mixed media art.

Claudia Lowery will share her paintings that express passion for life and elements of light, and her writing revealing her heart and soul. This will be Claudia’s third solo and/or collaborative art exhibition at the MVAC since 2012. She is the owner of Gingko Leaf Gallery in Marshall, TX where she represents 40 east Texas and Louisiana artists.

Following the exhibition’s opening reception the artists will greet guests, friends and family across the street at the Blue Frog Restaurant @ Charlie’s Backyard Bar for the after party where BlindDog will perform live. Secondary location will be to remain at MVAC and still have his live performance.

Art, photography, cd’s, and printed/bound writing will be available for purchase the same evening.
