Rolando Diaz’s paintings show his deep Cuban influence that capture a soulful depth of the human spirit. The very first time that I saw Rolando paint was live at the “One Heart Movie” benefit at the Dallas Cowboy Stadium. It was an incredible experience to see his artistry unfold during this fundraising event, something Rolando does frequently all over the United States to help raise monies for many deserving organizations with a mission and heart for helping others who have a great need.
A couple of years ago, Trinity Films and KERA partnered together to create a PBS documentary showcasing Rolando’s childhood Cuba and the rich culture still evident 40 years later. After watching this film, I knew exactly why Rolando’s art so deeply resonates with me; his passion and Cuban inspirations are clearly evident in this American artist.
To see the documentary that showcases his young life after his family fled from Havana to the United States when he was a young boy, and the effect these experiences have revealed themselves in his collection of paintings, please click here:

Please join me on Saturday, January 23, 2016, at Fort Worth’s downtown cultural arts district from 6:30-9:30pm to see Rolando’s art work.
At 7:30pm, Rolando will provide viewers the unique opportunity of seeing him perform live, an experience you simply don’t want to miss!
I will look forward to seeing you there!
