Sculptural Abstraction Seminar
Instructor: Michael O’Keefe
Explore ideas of sculptural abstraction, develop a specific sculpture vocabulary and execute a finished sculpture using that vocabulary. A great intro to sculpture or advanced exploration of sculptural abstraction. Participants will work in clay, plaster or with found objects.
4 Sessions:
Tuesday, October 27th, 1:00 – 4:00pm
Tuesday, November 3rd, 1:00 – 4:00pm
Tuesday, November 10th, 1:00 – 4:00pm
Tuesday, November 17th, 1:00 – 4:00pm
Cost: $240 (includes clay, plaster, firing). A $100 non-refundable deposit holds your space. Balance due: October 13th: $140. In the event of cancellation after October 13th, $130 will be refunded if someone from the waiting list is able to attend.  Additional payment information at the bottom of the email.

Figure Sculpture

Work in clay from the model. 3 sessions, same pose each session.

Figure Painting Workshop
Instructors: Michael O’Keefe and Bonny Leibowitz
5 days of instruction, working with a model. Ideal for the drawer wanting to move into painting, the painter wanting to work from observation from life, or the artist that wants in-depth instruction.

Gesture Drawing Seminar
Instructor: Jay Bailey
Each of 6 sessions will be a unique consideration of gestural figure drawing, exploring various approaches to working in a swift, intelligent and playful manner.
The 6 sessions will take place on the following Fridays, from 1:00 – 4:00pm: 9/11/15, 10/9/15/, 11/13/15, 12/11/15, 1/8/16, 2/12/16
Cost: $300 for all 6 sessions or $50 per session. Payment in full holds your spot.  In the event of cancellation two weeks prior to a session you will be refunded your payment minus a $10 processing fee.  No refund less than two weeks prior.  Additional payment information at the bottom of the email.

Considering the Artist Seminar
An established artist will be invited to share his or her insights into the Figure Drawing motif. The sessions will be an opportunity for participants to become acquainted with various and different approaches to working from the model. These sessions will begin with the invited artist giving a brief presentation, with images of his or her work, that explains the way in which he or she approaches the observation-based drawing situation. The artist will, for instance, discuss his or her choice of pose, length of pose, materials, size of drawing, vocabulary and types and degrees of abstractions employed. The presentation will be followed by three hours of drawing where participants draw alongside the invited artist.

Anatomy for Artists
Instructor: Michael O’Keefe
6 sessions exploring human anatomy as it is relevant to the visual arts, and figurative arts, in particular. Participants will explore the “parts” of the body, relationships within the body, the actions of the body, schematic possibilities, etc. Most sessions will involve lecture, demo, drawing time and informative exercises.
Sundays, 1:00 – 4:00pm on the following days: 11/22/15, 12/13/15, 1/31/16, 3/27/16, 4/24/16, 5/29/16

Watercolor Workshop
Instructor: Jay Bailey
Ideal for the individual wanting to explore the wonderful medium of watercolor. Gain insights into the material that will allow you to work freely and intelligently.
Session 1: October 10th and 11th, 12:00 – 3:00pm each day
Session 2: May 14th and 15th, 12:00 – 3:00pm each day
Cost: $120 per session (sessions 1 and 2 are the same content). For each session a $60 non-refundable deposit holds your space. Session 1 balance due: September 26th.  Session 2 balance due: April 30th: $60. In the event of cancellation after September 26th or April 30th, $50 will be refunded if someone from the waiting list is able to attend. 2D Design Workshop
Instructor: Juliette McCullough
Two 3 day workshops investigating principles of design that apply to all 2 dimensional visual art forms. These workshops will involve fun hands-on explorations, lectures and discussion, offering insight into important questions and concerns of visual form.
Session 1: “Line and Form”
October 30th, 6:00 – 8:00pm, October 31st, 12:00 – 3:00pm, November 1st, 12:00 – 3:00pm
Session 2: “Texture and Color”
January 22nd, 6:00 – 8:00pm, January 23rd, 12:00 – 3:00pm, January 24th, 12:00 – 3:00pm
Cost: $185 per session (includes most materials). A $90 non-refundable deposit holds your space for session 1. Balance due: October 16th.  A $90 non-refundable deposit holds your space for session 2. Balance due: January 8th: $95.  In the event of cancellation after October 16th or January 8th, $85 will be refunded if someone from the waiting list is able to attend.  Additional payment information at the bottom of the email.
