Mysterious Muck opens Nov. 21 at Circuit12

UPCOMING “Mysterious Muck”

Opening / Artist Reception: November 21st, 6-10pm.
The exhibition will run November 21 – 30 January  2016.

Circuit12 Contemporary proudly presents our end of the year group show curated by gallery artist, Clark Goolsby.

Mysterious Muck focuses on artists who’s work reflects the multiplicity and complexity inherent in contemporary culture. The current speed of content creation and consumption has made it increasingly difficult to separate our focus from our periphery. The works featured in Mysterious Muck combine seemingly unrelated imagery, materials, environments (virtual or physical), and abstract forms to illuminate the loss of context in the internet-age. Some works attempt to reorder this disparate content and provide us a new logic with which to understand it, while others revel in chaos and confusion. This collection of work challenges us with the notion that individual meanings of elements within a greater whole may no longer matter— that current culture has moved beyond needing to understand the parts and only evaluates the whole.
