MAP launched Dialogues on Race in Dallas in the fall of 2014. The program featured community murals and billboards.

MAP Celebrates International World Peace Day

Santa Cruz, CA and Dallas, TX

Stop by the MAP booth at the World Peace Day Celebration North Texas, produced by Peace is Possible, at Klyde Warren Park in Dallas, September 18, 7-11 PM. Pick up a Peace postcard and fill out a survey about your visions for peace that is part of a long-term peace project by MAP Founding Director Janeil Engelstad that has been used to create exhibitions and educational programs around the world.


Dallas VideoFest

MAP is partnering with Dallas VideoFest, Oct 8-18 at Angelica Film Center, to screen videos by MAP affiliate artists. As we are laying the groundwork for new MAP projects in Africa, we are presenting videos from South Africa and Lesotho. Check out MAP and the Dallas VideoFest’s website over the upcoming weeks for screening times.


Dade Middle School

In October MAP’s Arts Based Leadership Program for girls will resume at Billy Earl Dade Middle School in Dallas. The workshops for this program include writing, performance, emotional intelligence, and wellness.
