DALLAS, Texas (October 4, 2015) Haley-Henman proudly presents the third solo exhibition of new paintings related to Gisa Elwazir’s exploration of organic abstractions.  The solo exhibition titled, My Momentary Perception of the Wonder and Beauty to be Alive in the World will show at Gallery 422 from November 4-28, 2015 with a reception for the artist on November 7 from 5-8 pm.  In addition, a conversation with the artist will be on Saturday, November 21 at 3 pm.  The gallery and events are free and open to the public.
Building on her exhibitions Allegro Energico, Ma Non Troppo (2013) andin the Valley of the Many-Colored Grass (2014), she again”invites the viewers to relive an atmospheric memory in their relationship with nature, and draw them to intuitively respond to tones, textures, patterns and structures, which evoke landscapes and mindscapes” (Gisa Elwazir, Artist Statement 2014, in the Valley of the Many-Colored Grass).

This third iteration is a testimony of a powerful creative process that keeps expanding the boundaries of the possible.  An encounter with these paintings brings to mind Lawrence Weschler’s book, “Seeing is Forgetting the Name of the Thing One Sees”.  Although he was writing about Robert Irwin’s post-abstractionism, this dictum serves well in the way we approach each painting in this exhibition.

Haley-Henman at Gallery 422 is located in the Trinity Groves neighborhood in Dallas at 422 Singleton Boulevard.  Gallery hours are Wednesday through Saturday, noon to 5 pm and by appointment.  Please call 214-946-2255 or 214-532-3225 for more information.  ###
