PARIS FRANCE TO TEXAS 2016
“A Creative Voyage”
Thirteen Artists from France (including poets, actresses,actors, photographers, painters, videographers, researchers, collaborators) will be visiting Dallas, Santo Castle Rock, Marfa and Big Bend National Park beginning April 16th 2016
for a 14 day stay created by artist Monte Laster and hosted by FACE-USA
FACE-USA IS A NON PROFIT ORGANIZATION : “French American Creative Exchange FACE-USA IS a Texas nonprofit corporation that is in the process of seeking tax exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3).”
We will need funds in the total amount of $15,000 for lodging, meals and transportation. If you feel you would be willing to help us in that way with no amount too small, please personal message me. Any contributions will be considered tax exempt with a receipt as we are awaiting our IRS confirmation soon to arrive that will apply to all who claim it. Memberships are also being taken now for FACE-USA. Memberships are $50 except for Palo Pinto residents and those under 25 years of age; those memberships will be $20. CO-OP:Paris,France-Texas is a creative voyage. It provides a learning opportunity for a talented group of young artists from France to meet with local Texas institutions including universities, schools, and museums. The purpose of this project is to create an international cultural exchange between young artists from low-income neighborhoods from both France and Texas.
In the future, FACE-USA plans to follow up this project with a second voyage with group of young artists from Texas to France.
All of these events will be organized under the direction of Texas-French artist, Monte Laster.
The French American Creative Exchange (FACE-USA), a non-profit organization based in Santo,Texas is producing a creative project titled “CO-OP:Paris, France-Texas” and we desperately need your donations to help fund food, housing and local transportation for participants.
