About the Artist
Carlos Perez is a painter whose artwork displays vibrant imagery with
contemplative female figures. These figures exist in a colorful yet dark and
disruptive space. The figures have been developed from years of studying the
imagery of prehistoric female sculptures and female renderings. The unknown
identity, relevance, and secrecy of these sculptures and various images fuel
Perez’s finalized piece. Each work is a new attempt to create and transcend the
unknown voices that call out from the past.
