David Rankin will teach a workshop at Artists’ Showplace Gallery for watercolor artists looking for ways to improve their painting skills by using technology.
David is one of the world’s top professional watercolor painters working today. He and his wife, Deanna, live in Cleveland, Ohio / USA, where David maintains his professional Studio.
He is an honors/graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art and a successful painter, art author, lecturer and workshop trainer. His watercolors are in numerous public and private art collections and have been featured in over 110 Museum Exhibitions; numerous watercolor books & magazines; and in many one-man exhibitions all across North America as well as in Japan and Sweden.
In this workshop, David Rankin will train artists in the use of one of the most amazing imaging technologies that artists have seen in the history of the Art World.
The objective of this unique workshop is to train artists in a precise new way to develop painting ideas using an Apple iPad with the cool app “Paper by 53”. This app allows artists to develop their paintings ideas in full color – and at warp speed.
Mornings are devoted to the imaging skills on the iPad. Afternoons are focused on utilizing those images & skills combined with traditional watercolor procedures.
